What is the EU Parking Academy?

The EU Parking Academy is a dedicated training platform for operators and staff of Safe and Secure Parking Areas for trucks and commercial vehicles across Europe, powered by ESPORG. It offers accredited courses and learning materials in various fields.

Our flagship course covers all mandatory training needed for parking managers and staff under the EU-Parking Standard and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1012. This full-day training, offered in a blended approach, is designed to cater for a growing security and service need at parking areas for trucks and commercial road vehicles.

Why does it exist?

Safe and secure truck parking is essential to protect drivers, cargo, and infrastructure, and to meet EU-level standards for security, safety, and service quality. It offers accredited courses and learning materials in various fields.

Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1012 requires that parking area managers and staff are properly trained as part of the certification process, and the Academy meets this specific need in a structured, professional way as evidenced by its registration on behalf of the European Commission.

How does it work?

The Academy delivers blended learning: online modules and coursework that together provide structured training for managers and staff, built around core units such as technology, incident management, supervision, and surveillance.

Participants access multilingual courses and support materials, complete training and assessments, and receive training certificates that help their parking areas achieve and maintain EU-Parking Standard certification at Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum levels.

About the EU Standard for Safe and Secure Parking Areas

There is one legally established standard for Safe and Secure Parking Areas in the European Union. This standard is laid down in the Delegated Regulation 2022/1012. This standard foresees criteria for security and services along with procedures for the certification of parking areas. Only independent audit bodies appointed by the European Commission are allowed to conduct the certification process. The EU Parking Academy helps parking operators prepare for the certification in all respects, based on our comprehensive online training and in-person advice. While following our qualified course is mandatory for each staff member to obtain and keep the certification, we go above and beyond pure training, we get you audit-ready.
